In the first quarter going up against the Denver Broncos, Ben Roethlisberger hooked up with Diontae Johnson for a sweet 60-yard score.

This is how you start a game off with a bang. For Ben Roethlisberger, it’s no secret he’s struggled this year running the offense for the Pittsburgh Steelers. So much in fact, folks have been calling for him to get benched left and right.

Well, those calls have surely gotten less noisy, as Roethlisberger hooked up with Diontae Johnson for this sweet 50-yard touchdown early on going up against the Denver Broncos. The folk at Heinz Field were fired up to see it.

Ben Roethlisberger could shut his haters up with a win over Denver in Week 5

That was a great ball from Roethlisberger and Johnson went on to do the rest thanks to his outstanding speed. The Steelers have lost three straight games after opening the year with a big-time road win going up against the Buffalo Bills.

Ever since then, however, things have been going downhill for the squad. In Week 4, Pittsburgh traveled to Green Bay and couldn’t hang with Aaron Rodgers and the Packers. Now, the team is hoping to end this losing streak in style and do so against the 3-1 Broncos. So far, so good for Roethlisberger and Pittsburgh.

In order for the Steelers to get back into the playoff picture, they need to play much better at home while the offense figures out how to function under new coordinator Matt Canada. The early returns on Sunday are promising.
