In Week 5, the Buffalo Bills will travel to take on the Kansas City Chiefs in a matchup of AFC giants on Sunday Night Football.
Two of the NFL’s premier quarterbacks meet on Sunday night when the Buffalo Bills travel to Kansas City to face off against the Chiefs. The Bills’ lead man, Josh Allen, has picked up exactly where he left off last season, leading the Bills to a 3-1 record in the first quarter of the season, while the 2018 MVP Patrick Mahomes is hoping to gain some momentum for the Chiefs after an impressive win over Philadelphia last week.
Since the Bills suffered an upset loss to the Steelers in Week 1, they’ve picked up an impressive streak of wins against bottomfeeding teams. They’ve averaged 39 points in wins over Miami, Washington and Houston and have only allowed 21 points in that stretch. All of those points came against Washington — the Bills won 43-21.
Alongside Allen’s MVP campaign, Buffalo bolsters the league’s best defense, allowing only 217 yards per game.
On the other side, the Chiefs are coming off a dominant outing against the Eagles where they won 42-30. It was a much-needed win for last year’s AFC champions who had been seething after losses to the Ravens and Chargers. Despite the slow start, Mahomes has been as stellar as he always has been with 1,218 yards on a 72.3 percent completion rating and 14 touchdowns to four picks.
The Chiefs’ defense has been suspect all season, giving up at least 30 points to every team this season. For them to have a chance to win this game, they will need to play their best game this season.
