Miami Dolphins receiver Will Fuller will miss at least three games after being placed on IR.
The Miami Dolphins have lost one of their top receivers to a finger injury for an extended time. According to Cameron Wolfe of the NFL Network, Will Fuller was placed on IR ahead of Sunday’s away game.
Fuller broke his finger in Week 4’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. The injury happened in the second quarter while he was diving for a catch. After that, Fuller went into the locker room and missed the rest of the game.
Fuller’s only full game so far this season was back in Week 3 after missing the first week due to suspension and the second week for personal reasons. His absence is a huge blow to the 1-3 Miami Dolphins after being plagued by injuries since the start of the season. Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is also on IR currently and won’t be back this week.

Receiver Will Fuller will miss more time for the Miami Dolphins with a broken finger
A minimum three-week stint on IR leaves the Dolphins without one of their greatest offensive assets against the Buccaneers, Jaguars, and Falcons. His hands could be a brutal loss in Tampa Bay against Richard Sherman in pass defense. The Buccaneers are 3-1 and historically struggled this season with pass yards allowed, so using Fuller’s speed could have been a huge advantage for Miami.
In the Dolphins’ official depth chart, it looks like Jaylen Waddle and DaVante Parker will continue to occupy the first two spots while Albert Wilson fills in the third-place role solo. Wilson has 31 yards on five receptions this year which is about the same as Fuller’s 26 yards on four receptions, so Miami might not suffer too much from increasing his snaps.
Fuller’s finger injury is just more bad news for a depleted offense looking for their second win of the season.
