Over the past 10 years, Marvel Studios has created a whopping 42 MCU end-credits scenes across 27 movies so far. Ever since Jon Favreau’s Iron Man hit screens in 2008, the studio has made it a habit of using end-credits scenes in their films – something Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige wanted to emulate from Ferris Bueller’s Day Off – so that audiences would stay and see who made the movies, while also allotting them time to tease future movies.

Of course, while some MCU post-credits scenes tease future Marvel installments and story arcs, others are merely fun codas for comic book and MCU fans to enjoy; that’s the benefit of having multiple end-credits scenes in one film. Regardless, with a decade and more than two dozen movies under their belt, there are a lot of credits scenes for audiences to remember, which can understandably be quite tough, even for the more die-hard fans out there.

42. Iron Man – Nick Fury Arrives

The Iron Man post-credits scene was the one that started it all. It didn’t just set a precedent for all other MCU movies to include end-credits scenes but also potentially set up future installments. To non-comic book fans, the scene could come off as unexciting – especially at the time – but those who knew what was happening could only dream of all the possibilities.

After defeating Iron Monger, Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) heads to his living room and sees a mysterious man standing in the dark, who turns around and introduces himself as the Director of S.H.I.E.L.D. Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson). He’s there to discuss the Avenger Initiative with Tony, thus teasing the future team-up of the Marvel superhero team, the Avengers. It’s still one of the best end-credits scenes Marvel has ever released because of its simplicity and its effectiveness in teasing the future of an entire cinematic franchise. Needless to say, it got comic book fans excited for more Marvel Studios-made movies. Remember, Iron Man was the first film they ever made as an independent studio.

41. The Incredible Hulk – Tony Stark Puts Together A Team

While Iron Man was Marvel Studios’ first movie, audiences didn’t have to wait long to see the studio’s follow-up project. The Incredible Hulk released just a month later and had Downey Jr.’s Tony Stark show up at the end of the film, speaking to General Thaddeus Ross (William Hurt) in a bar. Tony tells the General that they are putting together a team, at which point Ross asks, “Who’s we?” Of course, “we” was meant to be S.H.I.E.L.D., while the team was referring to the Avengers. Sure, Iron Man’s scene was exciting, but this was the icing on the cake. It was truly the beginning of the Avengers, and it showed Marvel’s original plan for the team before Joss Whedon came on board. Tony was already part of the team and it looked like he was going to lead it, but that all changed after Iron Man 2 and going into Whedon’s Avengers movie.

40. Iron Man 2 – Coulson Finds Mjolnir

Clark Gregg reprised his Iron Man role as Agent Phil Coulson for the sequel, with Samuel L. Jackson also reprising his role as Nick Fury. At one point in Iron Man 2, Fury mentions that he has issues to deal with in the southwest region. Then, in Iron Man 2’s post-credits scene, Coulson is seen in the southwest region, telling Fury on the phone that they had found it. The “it” was Mjolnir, thus teasing Thor’s solo film in 2011. It was subtle, yet effective, and it was the first time that a post-credits scene teased a future movie, not a future team-up.

39. Thor – Selvig Joins S.H.I.E.L.D.

Thor’s post-credits scene took the past credits scenes to the next level by actually setting up The Avengers. It showcased Nick Fury welcoming Dr. Erik Selvig (Stellan Skarsgård) to S.H.I.E.L.D. and requesting that he further examine the Tesseract. Interestingly, it also shows that Loki is still alive and controlling Dr. Selvig. As far as post-credits scenes go, Thor’s was quite effective in setting up The Avengers’ story. After all, the scene itself leads directly into the opening for Joss Whedon’s film.

38. Captain America: The First Avenger – The Avengers Trailer

After waking up in the future, Steve Rogers takes some time to acclimate himself to his new life… by going to the gym. It’s there that Nick Fury tells Captain America about his next assignment: saving the world. Then, the scene leads directly into a trailer for The Avengers. The actual post-credits scene was short because it was taken from a longer scene from The Avengers itself, but what really teased the movie was the trailer at the end. That definitely got fans excited after seeing Captain America: The First Avenger.

37. The Avengers – Thanos Is Coming

The mid-credits scene for The Avengers is one of the shared universe’s most memorable. In it, the Other informs his enigmatic master that Loki’s invasion of Earth had failed and that to challenge Earth’s mightiest heroes would be to court Death. At that point, the master turns around – thus revealing Thanos – and smiles. The scene didn’t tease a specific movie, but it did reveal Thanos’ existence in the shared universe. And from that point onward, fans knew that the MCU would eventually build into an ultimate showdown between the Avengers and the Mad Titan – and, in that regard, it succeeded.

36. The Avengers Scene – Eating Shawarma With Friends

It’s difficult to top Thanos’ introduction, so The Avengers’ post-credits scene didn’t tease anything (a movie or character). After everything they had just gone through, they needed a warm meal to recoup. And for audiences to see them eat shawarma (something Tony briefly mentions in the film) while looking so exhausted was quite hilarious. It was the first post-credits scene that was used for humor instead of setting up a future movie. Plus, it was the first time that an MCU movie had two scenes instead of one.

35. Iron Man 3 – Bruce Isn’t That Kind of Doctor

Rather than tease Tony’s future as a superhero, Iron Man 3’s post-credits scene was another comedy coda featuring Tony Stark and Bruce Banner, with Tony recounting his fight with Aldrich Killian. Banner mentions that he’s not that type of doctor, which is why he looks so distraught when Tony starts yet another story. The scene continued the friendly banter the duo shared in The Avengers and it promised that they will maintain that friendship for years to come.

34. Thor: The Dark World – Journey to The Collector’s Vault

Thor: The Dark World’s mid-credits scene took the first steps to establishing the Infinity Stones as truly dangerous objects. To prevent Thanos (or anyone else) from targetting Asgard because of them holding two Infinity Stones, Sif (Jaimie Alexander) and Volstagg (Ray Stevenson) deliver the Aether/Reality Stone to The Collector (Benicio del Toro). The scene also served as a teaser for Guardians of the Galaxy, since del Toro would be appearing as The Collector in the film the following year. It was quite exciting to see the scene tease and even more cosmic side of the MCU.

33. Thor: The Dark World Scene – Thor & Jane Reunite

Just like the movie itself, the film’s actual post-credits scene is considered one of the weaker scenes from the MCU. All it showed was Thor and Jane running into each other’s arms and kissing passionately. Of course, a beast from Jotunheim also appears briefly, but the focus of the scene was on Thor and Jane. The fact of the matter is that the scene just didn’t jive well, and it was rather pointless considering what happened to Thor & Jane’s relationship.

32. Captain America: The Winter Soldier – The (Miracle) Twins

Just like the post-credits scene for Captain America: The First Avenger teased The Avengers, the mid-credits scene for Captain America: The Winter Soldier set up the next Avengers film. It showed Baron von Strucker (Thomas Kretschmann) discussing the fall of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Hydra, as well as revealing that he holds Loki’s Sceptre. Plus, it was also the first time that audiences saw Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), who von Strucker uses to mention that they now live in the Age of Miracles (NOT mutants). The mid-credits scene undoubtedly got fans excited for Avengers 2, especially the inclusion of two new superheroes. But fans didn’t know how everything would play out just yet.

31. Captain America: The Winter Soldier Scene – Bucky Remembers

The Winter Soldier’s post-credits scene was different from the mid-credits scene in that it didn’t tease Avengers 2 or even Captain America 3 (at least not directly), but it did lay the foundation for Bucky Barnes’ (Sebastian Stan) story. By showing Bucky visiting the Captain America museum exhibit, it showed that he was starting to remember who his friend is and, more importantly, who he is. That story eventually continued and became a central point in Captain America 3.

30. Guardians of the Galaxy – The Baby Groot Dance

In keeping with the fun, music-filled nature of Guardians of the Galaxy, the film’s mid-credits scene revealed that not only is Groot alive, but he’s a baby. It also showed Baby Groot dancing to “I Want You Back” by the Jackson 5, with Drax (Dave Bautista) curiously looking over a few times. The scene didn’t do much to set up Guardians of the Galaxy 2, but it was a fun scene to include.

29. Guardians of the Galaxy – It’s Howard the Duck

Considering that Guardians of the Galaxy acted as a standalone movie, there was no need to set up anything but a sequel – and James Gunn didn’t even do that. Instead, the post-credits scene was another fun coda for fans to enjoy, seeing Cosmo and Howard the Duck moseying around in The Collector’s vault, which had been destroyed earlier on in the movie.

28. Avengers: Age of Ultron – Fine, I’ll Do It Myself

Avengers: Age of Ultron only had one credits scene, which showed Thanos putting on the Infinity Gauntlet and saying, “Fine, I’ll do it myself,” thus teasing his eventual arrival on Earth. The problem with Ultron’s credits scene is that it inadvertently created a plot hole and another big question. How could Thanos have an Infinity Gauntlet when one already sits inside Asgard’s vault? That issue was rectified in Thor 3 when Hela called the Asgardian Gauntlet fake. As for the question, was Ultron working at the behest of Thanos the whole time? While the scene created multiple questions, it was still exciting to see Thanos finally put on the Infinity Gauntlet and gear up for war with the Avengers.

27. Ant-Man – Hope Becomes The Wasp

Throughout Ant-Man, it was teased that Hope van Dyne would eventually become the Wasp – and that was made official in the film’s mid-credits scene. In the scene, Hank Pym (Michael Douglas) presents a concept Wasp costume to Evangeline Lilly’s Hope, thus foreshadowing her advancement to superhero status in Ant-Man 2. Hope responded by saying, “It’s about damn time,” and it really was. It was an exciting moment for Hope and for fans, who know that Wasp is an integral member of the Avengers team from the comics.

26. Ant-Man – Falcon Knows A Guy

Rather than give fans another fun scene as other movies have done, Ant-Man’s actual post-credits scene led into the following year’s highly-anticipated event film: Captain America 3. In a cut-down scene from that movie, Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) and Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie) find Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan). They ponder what to do about Bucky, and they know Tony Stark couldn’t help because of the Sokovia Accords, so they turn to a “guy” that Sam knows. Not only did this scene continue the story left off from The Winter Soldier, but it perfectly set up the tenuous events in Captain America 3.

25. Captain America: Civil War – Bucky Reboots In Wakanda

The end of Captain America: Civil War split apart the Avengers and forced Bucky and Steve Rogers to flee in order to protect Bucky from harming himself and/or others. So, what better place to go than Wakanda? The film’s mid-credits scene showed Bucky putting himself in stasis until the Wakandans can figure out how to fix him. Then, the scene ends at the entrance to Wakanda and a statue of a black panther. The scene also served as a tease for the Black Panther movie that released almost two years later – and it did so quite effectively. People were excited about T’Challa’s (Chadwick Boseman) solo outing following Civil War.

24. Captain America: Civil War – Spider-Man Will Return

Captain America: Civil War didn’t just introduce audiences to Black Panther, it also brought Spider-Man (Tom Holland) into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. So, the studio used Civil War’s post-credits scene to tease and foreshadow Peter Parker’s solo film that released the following summer by showing Peter messing around with his Spidey suit’s web shooters, noticing that they emit a Spider-Man logo. He was clearly excited… and so were audiences. But arguably the best part about the post-credits scene was when Peter said he was punched by a guy named Steve from Brooklyn.

23. Doctor Strange – Thor Needs Some Help

Marvel Studios has made a habit of using cut-down scenes from future movies in credits scenes. For instance, the mid-credits scene in Doctor Strange was a snippet of a much larger scene that was taken from Thor 3, in which Thor and Loki are seeking Odin’s whereabouts, something Strange is quite wary of. If they find Odin, then they would promptly return to Asgard. So, being Earth’s protector from mystical forces, Doctor Strange tells Thor that he will help him find Odin. That effectively meant that Doctor Strange would be appearing in Thor 3. Aside from the hint of Strange’s return, seeing him and Thor bicker was quite hilarious.

22. Doctor Strange – There Are Too Many Sorcerers

The Doctor Strange post-credits scene is what teased the future of the series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Karl Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) steals what little magic Jonathan Pangborn had. When asked why he’s doing this, Mordo says that because he finally knows what’s wrong with the world: there are too many sorcerers. Some fans felt that Baron Mordo’s arc to villainy hadn’t been earned, but it’s something that’s meant to be explored in the film’s sequel.

21. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – The Yaka Arrow

The first credits scene for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 remembered Yondu’s (Michael Rooker) infamous weapon: the Yaka Arrow, which he controls via whistling. Kraglin (Sean Gunn) attempts to use the arrow himself but can’t seem to control it entirely. So, the arrow flies around the ship and accidentally strikes Drax in the shoulder. Instead of helping, Kraglin just slowly… walks away. It was quite funny to see in theaters, and it showed that Yondu’s legacy will live on in his fellow Ravagers, even if they don’t know how to use his Yaka Arrow properly.

20. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – The OG Guardians Are Back

The film’s second credits scene brought Stakar Osgord’s (Sylvester Stallone) old crew back together – Aleta Ogord (Michelle Yeoh), Martinex (Michael Rosenbaum), Charlie-27 (Ving Rhames), Krugarr, and Mainframe (Miley Cyrus) – following Yondu’s sacrifice and subsequent funeral so that they may reunite once again. Stakar ends the meeting by saying they should go and “steal some sh*t.” The scene promised the reformation and potential return of the original Guardians of the Galaxy team at some point in a future MCU movie.

19. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – Enter Adam Warlock

The third credits scene in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is perhaps the most important one of all. Ayesha (Elizabeth Debicki) is warned of the Council’s “wrath,” but she says that their anger will ease when they learn what she’s created: the next step in their evolution, something “more powerful, more beautiful, more capable of destroying the Guardians of the Galaxy.” That person is revealed to be Adam Warlock when Ayesha refers to the creature in the birthing pod as Adam. After years of waiting, comic book fans finally got confirmation of Adam Warlock’s existence in the MCU, which him potentially making his debut in Guardians of the Galaxy 3.

18. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – Teen Groot Is Disgusting

Baby Groot played an integral role in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, but by the time the credits started rolling, he’d grown to teenage Groot – and with that comes a certain level of adolescent attitude. In the film’s fourth credits scene, Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) walks into Groot’s room and sees him playing video games, but his room is a complete mess, filled to the brim with vine sheddings. Peter tells Groot to clean up his room, but Groot responds by saying Peter is boring him… in Groot’s signature inflection, of course. This banter between Peter and Groot was something that fans could look forward to seeing more of in Avengers: Infinity War.

17. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 – Stan Lee & The Watchers

Yes, the Guardians of the Galaxy sequel had five after credits scenes in total, though not all were meant to set up future installments. The film’s final post-credits scene continued a scene from earlier in the movie in which Stan Lee’s character recounts the Avengers’ stories to the Watchers. It was a play on the fan-favorite theory that suggests Stan Lee is the Watcher in the MCU, that’s why he appears in every movie and TV show. While Lee’s appearance didn’t confirm the theory, it did indicate that his character at least has some connection to the Watchers. Unfortunately, it seems they weren’t interested in hearing any more of his stories.

16. Spider-Man: Homecoming – Adrian Toomes Has a Secret

After being caught and imprisoned, Spider-Man: Homecoming’s mid-credits scene shows Adrian Toomes (Michael Keaton) confronted by one of his former associates, Mac Gargan (Michael Mando), and is asked if he knows Spider-Man’s real identity, because Gargan has some friends that want to kill the superhero. Even though Toomes knows Spidey’s identity, he chooses to keep that secret to himself by saying, “If I knew who he was, he’d already be dead.” Toomes then heads off to see his family who’s visiting him in prison. It’s curious why Toomes didn’t give up Spider-Man’s real name, but perhaps that’s because Toomes, aka Vulture, actually respects his wall-crawling foe.

15. Spider-Man: Homecoming – Patience Is Key

Throughout Spider-Man: Homecoming, several PSAs featuring Steve Rogers as Captain America are shown in the high school, offering students advice and instruction. Chris Evans appeared one more time in the classic Captain America getup for Homecoming’s post-credits scene in which he cautioned patience, one of the most valuable traits a soldier or student can possess. Then, he says you will wonder why you “waited so long for something so disappointing,” thus telling the audience that they waited until the end of the credits for nothing; there wasn’t a teaser for Infinity War.

14. Thor: Ragnarok – Thanos Arrives

While Thor: Ragnarok’s actual plot was mostly standalone and didn’t set up Avengers: Infinity War as audiences thought it might, the film’s mid-credits scene did lead into the blockbuster film. While aboard the spaceship that’s taking them to Earth, Thor and Loki ponder whether or not it’s a good idea to bring Loki back to the planet that he once tried to conquer. Thor says that he feels like everything is going to work out for them, and in that moment, Thanos’ Scantuary II ship appears overhead, thus teasing their impending doom. It was a simple way to set up the opening events of Avengers 3 while also creating more questions for fans.

13. Thor: Ragnarok – The Grandmaster Survives

Thor: Ragnarok is one of the funniest movies Marvel Studios has made so far, and that level of humor continued in the film’s post-credits scene, featuring Jeff Goldblum’s Grandmaster. After an uprising, the Grandmaster finds himself in a crashed ship, facing down hundreds of disgruntled citizens. He attempts to pacify them by applauding their efforts, telling them to give themselves a pat on the back. He even props up his own involvement in the uprising, saying, you can’t have a revolution without someone to overthrow (i.e. him). The post-credits scene didn’t tease or set up any future MCU movie, but it did show that the Grandmaster is one of the most unique characters in Thor: Ragnarok.

12. Black Panther – Wakanda Opens Its Borders

It’s mentioned multiple times throughout Black Panther that Wakanda has always remained isolated from the outside world. That’s something that changed at the end of the film, and something that was formally announced in the film’s mid-credits scene. In what was originally Black Panther’s ending, the mid-credits scene had Chadwick Boseman’s T’Challa unveil Wakanda’s plans to share their knowledge and technology with the rest of the world at the United Nations. It set up Wakanda’s status in the future of the MCU, and it was also a nice, satisfying conclusion to T’Challa, Nakia, and even Killmonger’s stories.

11. Black Panther – The White Wolf

Despite confirmation that Bucky wouldn’t appear, he still showed up in Black Panther’s post-credits scene. In the scene, Shuri (Letitia Wright) visits Bucky as he recovers and greets him as Sgt. Barnes. But in that moment, he’s no longer Sgt. Barnes or the Winter Soldier, he’s just Bucky. It was later confirmed that Bucky would actually become the White Wolf in Avengers: Infinity War, something that was allowed to be set up in Black Panther thanks to Shuri. Bucky’s transformation into the White Wolf is something that comic book fans may not have expected, but it was necessary for audiences to see Bucky rebooted prior to Thanos’ arrival in Avengers 3.

10. Avengers: Infinity War – Calling Captain Marvel

The cliffhanger ending of Avengers: Infinity War saw Thanos achieve his insane goal, using the unlimited power of the Infinity Gauntlet to erase half the life in the universe. The post-credits scene moves away from Wakanda and Titan, and shows men and women crumbling to dust in a city, with a now-pilotless helicopter crashing into the side of a skyscraper. Agents Maria Hill and Nick Fury reel in horror, before Hill too fades away; Fury uses a mysterious device to send out a cry for help, before he too dies. The post-credits scene ends showing Captain Marvel’s logo on the screen of Fury’s device. Although the Russo brothers considered not giving viewers a post-credits scene, this one is important in that it shows the impact of Thanos’s “snap” on the rest of the world, while setting up the importance of Captain Marvel.

9. Spider-Man: Far From Home – JK Simmons’ J Jonah Jameson Returns

After Avengers: Endgame had no after-credits scene apart from an audio clip in homage to Iron Man, JK Simmons’ J Jonah Jameson returned to the Spider-Man movie universe after last appearing in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man 3. Though he’s not a multiverse spanning character like No Way Home’s later cameos, Simmons’ return stands as testament to how perfectly cast he was by Raimi. The firebrand newspaper editor was given a modern update, presenting an InfoWars-like right-wing media website, through which he revealed Mysterio’s fake news implication of Peter Parker’s part in his own murder and attack on London. Stunningly, Jameson then revealed the secret identity of Tom Holland’s Spider-Man in what is truly one of the most explosive of all of the MCU’s after-credits scenes, making Peter Parker public enemy number 1.

8. Spider-Man: Far From Home – Nicky Fury Was A Skrull (And Is In Space)

After the Far From Home credits, Nick Fury – an after-credits veteran by now – returned once more, only for the big reveal that Samuel L Jackson’s Avengers figurehead was, in fact, Ben Mendelsohn’s Skrull Talos in disguise. Fury meanwhile had been off-planet for the duration of Far From Home’s events, where he is monitoring extraterrestrial threats with the Skrulls, establishing the existence of S.W.O.R.D. in the MCU. Exactly what he’s doing in space at that point is unclear, and should presumably be cleared up by Captain Marvel’s upcoming sequel The Marvels.

7. Black Widow – Yelena Targets Hawkeye & Revenge

In what at first appears to be the MCU’s overdue tribute to Black Widow’s death, Black Widow’s post-credits scene shows Yelena visiting Natasha’s grave in the midwest of the US. The tribute, sadly, is then undermined somewhat by the return of Julia Louis-Dreyfus’ Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (or Val, for short) after her debut in Falcon & The Winter Soldier. Having recruited Wyatt Russell’s US Agent to her mysterious team, it appears Val has also acquired the services of Yelena, and offers her next target, handing over a dossier on Clint Barton and implicating him in Black Widow’s murder during Endgame.

6. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings – Bruce Banner, Captain Marvel & Wong Investigate The Ten Rings

After a final scene that sees Benedict Wong’s Wong seemingly recruiting Shang-Chi and Katy as new Avengers, the mid-credits scene of Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings sees the trio return with two surprise MCU cameos. Mark Ruffalo’s Bruce Banner and Brie Larson’s Captain Marvel make their returns in hologram form to consult with Wong about the origin of the Ten Rings. Intriguingly, they discuss a beacon, sent out by the Rings to whatever or whoever created them, promising something ominous for Shang-Chi’s MCU return.

5. Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings – Xialing’s Ten Rings Rebirth

As well as the tease of the Ten Rings’ creator potentially appearing in Shang-Chi 2, Shang-Chi’s post-credits scene also reveals the fate of his sister, Xialing, who was last seen fighting by his side. But her future in the MCU may be heading in a different direction to her brother, as the post-credits stinger reveals her to be the true heir to Wenwu’s Ten Rings organization, which she is rebuilding in her image after her father’s death. Could that mean the rise of a new criminal power player in the MCU’s future?

4. Eternals – Introducing Harry Styles’ Starfox

The mid-credits sequence for Eternals was, rather unfortunately, leaked ahead of the movie’s theatrical release, spoiling the fact that the scene delivered the debut of two new Eternals characters. First came the pomp and circumstance of the completely CG character Pip the Troll (voiced by Patton Oswalt), announcing the arrival of his eminence Eros, otherwise known as Starfox, played by former One Direction member and pop star Harry Styles. After his lengthy introduction – and his many, many official titles – Starfox tells his fellow Eternals Druig (Barry Keoghan), Makkari (Lauren Ridloff), and Thena (Angelina Jolie) that he knows where they can find the missing Eternals.

3. Eternals – Dane Whitman’s Secret & Blade’s First MCU Appearance

In one of the most confusing – or at least guarded – MCU post-credits scenes, Kit Harington’s Dane Whitman reappears having witnessed Sersi’s abduction by the Celestial Arishem, and opening a mysterious box etched with the message “Death Is His Reward.” Within the box lies the Ebony Blade, a supremely powerful sword that grows in strength the more blood it spills. And while Harington’s version of the Black Knight – his family’s secret superhero identity passed down from his uncle – will likely be a hero, the Ebony Blade corrupts its wielder, which is why an off-screen voice asks Dane whether he’s sure he’s ready for what comes next. Though it was unclear during the scene, the voice belonged to Mahershala Ali’s Blade, as revealed by the film-makers, setting up a crossover between Black Knight and the Marvel Day Walker.

2. Spider-Man: No Way Home – Venom Goes Home To The Sonyverse

After Tom Holland’s Peter Parker gives up everything to save the MCU from the multiverse schisms threatening to fill the Earth with infinite elseworlds individuals thanks to Doctor Strange’s broken spell, another multiverse cameo is confirmed in No Way Home’s mid-credits scene. Tom Hardy’s Eddie Brock appears in a Mexican bar, with the barman explaining that this universe has multiple superheroes who operate publicly (unlike the Sonyverse). A drunk Eddie chats with the server and his internal Venom voice before Strange’s reset spell pulls him back to his own universe, leaving a small blob of black goo, and seemingly setting up a crossover between the alien symbiote and Spider-Man in the MCU’s Spider-Man 4.

1. Spider-Man: No Way Home – Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness Trailer

In place of a post-credits scene on Spider-Man: No Way Home, Marvel included the first look at Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. It may not have been quite as exciting as a tease for an unknown future MCU project but the Doctor Strange 2 trailer did see the return of Scarlet Witch and Karl Mordo, as well as big story hints, culminating in what would appear to be the suggestion of a multiversal evil Doctor Strange coming as part of the sequel. Trailers and scenes from other future MCU movies are far from typical as Marvel post-credits scenes go, but this one was a good hype-builder.
