FIFA World Cup 2022 Qatar is all set to kick off in less than 10 days of time with a grand opening ceremony on November 7.
The quadrennial event organized by FIFA is considered to be the pinnacle of international football. For the first time in history the tournament is being held in the Middle East, which will also be the second FIFA World Cup to be held in Asia.
A total of 32 teams across the globe are participating in the tournament, as the group stage begins on November 20. About 16 out of the 32 participating teams will advance into the knockout stage, which is scheduled to be held between December 3 to 6.
While quarterfinals are scheduled to take place on December 9 and 10, the semifinals will be played on December 13 and 14. Meanwhile, the tournament will conclude with the FIFA World Cup final on December 18.
