Here are two potential landing spots for wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. according to Ian Rapoport.

Wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr is set to hit officially hit waivers today, and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network gave an insightful update into his situation this morning:

According to Rapoport, he does not expect Beckham to be claimed, which would allow Beckham to hit the open market as a free agent.

The New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks are two potential landing spots for Odell Beckham Jr.

If Beckham becomes a free agent, Rapoport named the New Orleans Saints and Seattle Seahawks as “teams to keep an eye on.”

If Beckham wants the opportunity to be a team’s number one wide receiver, the Saints would be an ideal landing spot for him. With Michael Thomas out for the season, the Saints receiving core has been less than spectacular.

As a team, the Saints are averaging the second-fewest receiving yards per game in the NFL. They also have the second-fewest YAC (yards after catch) this season.

Beckham signing with the Saints could be great for both parties. Beckham would immediately become the top wide receiver on their depth chart, and the Saints could gain the playmaker that they have been desperately missing.

The Seahawks would pair Beckham with one of the game’s best quarterbacks in Russell Wilson. Beckham alongside DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett would form a dangerous wide receiver trio.

Although the Seahawks are 3-5, they are not out of the playoff race, as the 4-4 Atlanta Falcons are currently holding the final Wild Card spot. Furthermore, Wilson could return from his finger injury this Sunday against the Packers.

Adding Beckham could bolster their chances of making a playoff run.
