Listen: Fan tries climbing into Ravens radio booth live on-air during Week 7 broadcast

A fan tried to climb into the Baltimore Ravens radio play-by-play booth during the game to find his drink.

The NFL has existed for over a century, but we still have moments that surprise us. This latest one happened away from the field but was nevertheless something we haven’t seen before.

One of the most bizarre moments of the season unfolded at M&T Bank Stadium in Baltimore when a fan tried to climb into the Ravens radio booth while the crowd cast team was in the middle of calling Week 7’s game.

One of the Ravens broadcasters, Femi Ayanbadejo, was heard yelling over the play-by-play, and while it could have been assumed he was talking to the players, he was actually talking to a fan.

“What are you doing,” Ayanbadejo yelled before the booth went radio silent for a few moments. They eventually picked up the announcing the game as though nothing happened but explained Femi had been yelling at a fan who was trying to climb into the booth to find his drink.

Just listen, it’s absolutely crazy:

“He was not talking to the players, we actually had a fan who tried to climb into the broadcast booth,” explained lead play-by-play announcer Gerry Sandusky. “She said ‘I’m a veteran an looking for a drink’.”

As far as exciting moments at the Ravens game in Week 7, this might have been the peak. Baltimore got blown out by the Bengals, who took control of the AFC North with the win. It’s an embarrassing loss, but one that the fan in question likely won’t remember — so there’s silver lining.

But it you had ‘drunk fan tries to climb into the radio booth during the middle of a broadcast’ as a prop bet, congrats because you’re in the money.
