Alphonso Davies

The Roadrunner as Thomas Muller says. Davies suffered from a hamstring injury on 5th November. Just 10 days before Canada’s World Cup opener, Davies said he needs 10 days of rehab to recover. The Bayern Munich Left-Back stuck to his word and pulled it off in the tight timeline. Davies is one of the fastest players in football. He is already one of the best left-backs in the World, proving himself with Bayern Munich. Though still not at complete fitness, Davies’s presence in the backline will help Canada both offensively and defensively. Canada has the likes of Jonathan David and Cyle Larin in their ranks. The addition of Alphonso Davies can definitely help Canada secure a qualification spot.

A key player for Belgium, Romelu Lukaku is set to miss his first two matches for Belgium. The Inter Milan striker has managed to play for just 29 minutes since August. He is battling with a thigh injury and hence Michy Batshuayi is set to replace him. Kevin De Bruyne is definitely expected to show up. However, Eden Hazard is the big player alongside Kevin who can show up for his nation after struggling for Real Madrid.
