The first glimpse of the highly awaited Shamshera was unveiled today by the makers of the movie. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt in the lead roles and will release in theatres on July 22 this year. “A legend will rise on 22nd July! @yrf’s much-awaited big-ticket spectacle #Shamshera starring superstar #RanbirKapoor @Vaaniofficial @duttsanjay is set to release at a theatre near you in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu,” the makers announced on Twitter while sharing the teaser.
In the teaser, Sanjay Dutt, Ranbir Kapoor and Vaani Kapoor talk about the story of a dacoit. “This story is of the one who said slavery of anyone is not good, neither of others, nor of the people close to us,” says Sanjay Dutt while Vaani Kapoor adds: “This story is of the one who earned a dream about freedom in his father’s legacy.”
“But nobody gives you freedom. You have to win it. Karam se dakait, dharam se azaad Shamshera (In name a dacoit, in reality free)!” Ranbir Kapoor says towards the end of the teaser. Shamshera is directd by Karan Malhotra and also features Ashutosh Rana, Saurabh Shukla, and Ronit Roy. It is rumoured that Ranbir Kapoor will be playing a double role in the movie.
