A Mumbai Court has sent struggling actor Manvinder Singh to police custody for two days after he allegedly sent death threats to Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal. He will remain in the custody till July 28.
Manvinder is a small-time actor who was arrested for allegedly sending death threats to Katrina and Vicky Kaushal. Singh, 25, is said to be a struggling actor, who claims to be a big fan of Katrina.
He also wanted to marry the Sooryavashi actress and also posted edited pictures and videos of him with her on his social media accounts. Singh has also been allegedly stalking Katrina for the last few months and has been harassing her on social media.
Singh later issued death threats to Kaif and her husband. Vicky took this matter on priority concern and filed a police complaint against Singh on Monday for allegedly threatening him and his wife on Instagram.
The FIR was filed at Santacruz police station. The police registered an FIR against the unidentified person under 506-II (criminal intimidation) and 354-D (stalking).
The police arrested Singh from Malad the same day and produced him before a court in Bandra earlier today. However, according to ANI, Manwinder’s lawyer Sandeep Sherkhane denied the allegations against his client and described them as baseless.
“My client is a struggling actor. They are from the same industry and acquainted since 2019. Now suddenly these allegations are surfacing,” Sherkhane said, as quoted by ANI.
On the personal front
Vicky and Katrina were in the Maldives recently to celebrate the latter’s3 9th birthday. The duo tied the knot in December last year in Rajasthan in the presence of close friends and family members after dating for a while.
