Tom Brady and Derek Barnett had a bit of an exchange during Thursday night football between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles.

Things got a bit testy during the Week 6 of Thursday night football between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Philadelphia Eagles.

Late in the second quarter, Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady threw an interception to Eagles safety Anthony Harris after attempting to target wide receiver Antonio Brown. During the interception, cameras caught Brady and Eagles defensive lineman Derek Barnett get into a bit of an exchange.

Barnett looked to be blocking out Brady during Philadelphia’s interception return with some shoves. Buccaneers center Ryan Jensen jumped in to defend his quarterback.

Tom Brady throws first interception since Week 1

Besides the exchange between Brady and Barnett, this play carries some significance. This was the first time that the seven-time Super Bowl champion quarterback threw an interception since Week 1 against the Dallas Cowboys. That interception-less streak has now reached its end.

The Eagles, however, could not capitalize on that turnover, as they immediately went three-and-out, failing to put any additional points on the board. They entered halftime trailing Tampa Bay 21-7.

Brady and the Bucs responded after receiving the second half kickoff, where they went on a 12-play drive, culminating in a one-yard touchdown run by Leonard Fournette to extend the lead to 28-7.
