The Dallas Cowboys are in the drivers seat to win the NFC East division title. But when is the earliest they can call themselves champions?

The Dallas Cowboys brought an end to their two-game losing streak this past Thursday when they defeated the New Orleans Saints. Even though they are currently 8-4 on the year, they still have the Washington Football Team and Philadelphia Eagles trailing them in the standings with six wins each. The New York Giants are long shots to win the division at 4-8.

Dallas is still in the drivers seat to win the NFC East, but how soon can they do so?

When’s the soonest the Cowboys can win the NFC East?

The Cowboys can win the division as early as Week 16 based off the current schedule.

Next weekend, the Cowboys take on the Football Team. A victory would help improve their record to 9-4, while Washington would fall to 6-7.

Week 15 is an interesting one, as the Cowboys takes on the Giants, while the Football Team battles the Eagles. The best possible scenario for Dallas is that they defeat the New York, while Philadelphia earns the win over Washington.

Finally, Week 16. Dallas could get the division all wrapped up by defeating Washington in their final head-to-head meeting of the 2021 season.

Long story short, if Dallas wins their next three games on their schedule, two of which being against Washington, they will be NFC East champions for the first time since 2018.
