Between romances, school, friendships, and parents, most teenagers seem to have drama always following them — especially when they’re Netflix characters. In The Kissing Booth movie series, protagonist Elle Evans (Joey King) is faced with many difficult choices when it comes to her love life and where she wants to go to college after she graduates high school. Making decisions that will affect the rest of your life certainly isn’t easy, and The Kissing Booth 3 just proves this again.

To catch you up, The Kissing Booth series begins with Elle and Lee Flynn (Joel Courtney) as best friends for life, enjoying high school together. Things become complicated when Elle strikes up a romance with Lee’s brother Noah (Jacob Elordi). Not only does it feel like a betrayal, but Elle no longer has all the time in the world to hang out with Lee.
The second and third movies don’t get much easier for Elle, unfortunately. Although by The Kissing Booth 3 Elle and Noah are happily dating and Lee has his own girlfriend, Elle is faced with a hard choice — where to go to college. She’d promised Lee since they were kids that she would go with him to UC Berkeley, but she also wants to be with her boyfriend at Harvard.
It’s a tough decision for Elle to make, and that’s not all. Throughout The Kissing Booth 3, Elle constantly gets into fights with Noah, and when Marco Peña (Taylor Zakhar Perez) returns to her life, (the guy she kissed in The Kissing Booth 2 while dating Noah), things go from tense to straight-up terrible.
Elle and Noah have a rough go of things in this movie, and of course, you’d assume Marco would only be a temptation. So who does Elle choose? Who does she end up with at the end of The Kissing Booth 3?
Do Elle and Noah end up together in The Kissing Booth 3?
Going into the movie, one would probably assume that Elle and Noah would end up together. They’re the main couple throughout the series, and there’s no denying they’re cute and love each other. Surprisingly, however, Elle and Noah are no longer dating by the end of The Kissing Booth 3.
Actually, Elle doesn’t end up with anyone in the movie’s final moments. She ultimately decides to choose neither Harvard nor Berkeley, and instead attends USC to study video game design. At the end of the movie, there’s a time jump and we get to see the main characters after college and out in the real world.
Though Lee and Rachel (Meganne Young) are engaged, both Elle and Noah are single. They see each other for the first time in a while, and you can tell there’s certainly still a spark. Despite their flirtation, however, they do not end up together. But it’s entirely possible they could begin dating again.
Unfortunately, The Kissing Booth 3 marks the final movie in the series, so we’ll have to just imagine what could be for Elle.
