Will Aaron Rodgers be eligible to return to the Green Bay Packers for their Week 10 matchup against the Seattle Seahawks?

The Green Bay Packers seemingly had all of the momentum in the NFC after handing the Arizona Cardinals their first loss of the season in Week 8. Said momentum was halted after the team ruled out quarterback Aaron Rodgers for their Week 9 matchup against the Kansas City Chiefs after he tested positive for COVID-19. It was confirmed that Rodgers is unvaccinated.

With the Packers losing 13-7 to the Chiefs with 2020 first-round pick Jordan Love at the helm for his first-career start, will Rodgers be eligible to return ahead of the team’s Week 10 meeting against the Seattle Seahawks?

Will Aaron Rodgers play in Week 10?

Since Rodgers is unvaccinated, he has to sit out a mandatory minimum of 10 days. Since he tested positive this past Wednesday, he will be eligible to come off the COVID-19/reserve list this upcoming Saturday. But that is only if he shows no symptoms and is cleared by an independent doctor.

If Rodgers meets all of that criteria, he will be at Lambeau Field to face the Seahawks.

Head coach Matt LaFleur said in the team’s postgame press conference that Rodgers will “absolutely” get the start if Rodgers is cleared, even without participating in practice.

Rodgers is eligible to be activated on Saturday.

In the first start of his career, Love showed signs of being nervous playing in loud Arrowhead Stadium. Even with his struggles, the Chiefs and the play of quarterback Patrick Mahomes kept Green Bay in the game. Yet, a third-down conversion with a little under two minutes remaining by Mahomes ended things.

Love completed 19-of-34 pass attempts for 190 yards, one touchdown and one interception.
