5 bold predictions for Bears on Sunday vs. Browns

The team from the Windy City hits the road for the second time in three weeks to take on the Browns at Cleveland. Predictions anyone?

Perhaps it’s only fitting that a former Ohio State Buckeye make his first NFL start in the state of Ohio.

Many eyes will be on Chicago Bears’ rookie signal-caller Justin Fields as he prepares to take on the Cleveland Browns in a clash of 2020 playoff teams.

The last time these clubs met in the Buckeye State, the Bears survived a 38-31 shootout. It’s hard to imagine another scoring fest like that but you never know. This is an interconference clash full of intrigue. And here are five things that may happen this Sunday.

5. Justin Fields throws for at least 250 yards for the Chicago Bears

With veteran Andy Dalton out with a knee injury, Bears’ head coach Matt Nagy made it official on Wednesday. The 11th overall pick in April’s draft will get the starting nod against the Browns (via Kevin Patra of NFL.com). There was spot duty in Week 1 vs. the Rams and a relief role last Sunday vs. the Bengals. But now…

“I think I’m ready,” said Fields (via Michael David Smith of Pro Football Talk). I’ve been preparing for this moment a long time. My mindset doesn’t change. I’m still going to play football and prepare the best I can. Study, study, study and get more comfortable and more confident with the plays.”

Don’t be surprised if he racks up some numbers against a revamped Browns’ defense that is still looking to find itself.
