5 bold predictions for Cowboys against Eagles

The Cowboys snatched victory from the jaws of defeat at the buzzer against the Chargers in Week 2. Dallas wants a more comfortable victory over the Eagles.

Dallas enters their Week 3 match-up vs. the Eagles hoping to finally experience a game that doesn’t go down to the last minute. The Cowboys would take a last-second win over their division rivals, but if they play well they should have more than enough talent to dispatch the Eagles by double-digits.

Of course, NFL games aren’t played on paper. There’s always a chance that Philadelphia can roll into Texas and steal a big win over Mike McCarthy’s squad. The Cowboys may be emotionally fatigued after stressful games against the Buccaneers and Chargers in consecutive weeks.

The odds still favor the Cowboys running their record to 2-1 with a solid win over the Eagles. Here are five bold predictions on how Dallas can get that done.

5. Trevon Diggs will get another pick

Diggs had a terrific interception against Justin Herbert last week and he will want to do the same to Jalen Hurts this week. The two former Alabama stars certainly have history together.

That should give Diggs an advantage over Hurts when the Eagles’ quarterback drops back to throw. Look for Diggs to jump one of Hurts’ outside routes to secure an important interception for his defense. Hurts can harm the Cowboys when he scrambles, but he lacks the high-level arm strength required to complete passes on the perimeter from the pocket. Diggs knows that and will take advantage on Monday night.
