The Cowboys were embarrassed in their ugly Week 9 defeat to the Broncos. Here are five bold predictions on how they’ll bounce back vs. the Falcons.

It’s hard to call last week’s defeat to Denver anything other than a disaster from the Dallas perspective. Mike McCarthy’s team had more than enough talent to win the game comfortably at home, but the squad got punched in the mouth by a highly-motivated Broncos team.

Now the challenge for McCarthy and his staff will be to avoid pushing the panic button this week. The Falcons roll into town this Sunday coming off an exciting win against the Saints. Matt Ryan isn’t the most dynamic quarterback in football, but he can still sling the ball at a high level when he’s given time to throw.

Anything less than a win will be a huge issue for the Cowboys.

5. Micah Parsons will notch another sack

Parsons was a big-time playmaker in the loss to Denver with 10 tackles and 2.5 sacks on the day. It wasn’t enough to earn his team a victory, but he continues to make a strong case that he’s the NFL’s best defensive rookie.

His raw speed gives him a strong chance to get to Ryan on Sunday. Dallas will continue to scheme ways to get Parsons lined up on opposing tackles in one-on-one matchups on the perimeter. Back the former Penn State star to win at least one of those battles to earn another sack against Atlanta.
