5 bold predictions for Packers against Steelers

Packers fans are still rejoicing over their team’s last-minute 30-28 victory over the 49ers last week, but officials in Green Bay have already begun to focus in on this week’s game against the Steelers. Ben Roethlisberger and company desperately need to score an upset win at Lambeau Field if they want to get their season back on track.

The problem for Pittsburgh is that Green Bay is just too good. The Steelers are going to struggle mightily to score enough points to keep this game competitive. Here are five bold predictions on what should be a comfortable win for the Packers.

5. Allen Lazard will find the end zone

Lazard only caught one ball last week but it was a 42-yard completion. His speed gives him a real advantage against the Steelers’ secondary in this matchup.

Look for Lazard to get behind his defender to beat Pittsburgh for an early touchdown on Sunday. The Packers aren’t going to need to throw the ball a ton to cruise to victory on Sunday, but Lazard is going to get his production in during the first quarter.

He may not catch another 40+ yard ball in this game but he’s going to find a way to put six points up on the scoreboard. The Steelers’ defense doesn’t have enough depth in the secondary to stop a relative afterthought like Lazard from making an impact.
