A GTA IV Remaster Could Be Arriving In 2023, According To Insider

According to RalphsValve, GTA IV is set to be the next Grand Theft Auto title to get the remaster treatment.

We’re now only a few days away from Rockstar Game’s Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy Definitive Edition, which was also leaked before the official announcement, but it looks like we’re already moving on to the next best thing.

Rockstar Games aren’t usually known for giving their older titles the remaster treatment, but with GTA 6 reportedly still years away, it’s likely that a steady release of remasters is a way to keep fans happy until then.

Leaker Reveals GTA IV Remastered Details

Rumours of a GTA IV remaster started circulating on 4chan a few days ago, along with speculation of a Red Dead Redemption remaster. But many dismissed these claims as there was no credible source to back up the information.

But now it appears that RalphsValve, who corroborated reports by trusted source Tom Henderson on the upcoming Modern Warfare 2, is backing up these GTA IV remaster claims.

Ralph took to Twitter on November 9th and simply tweeted a picture of the GTA IV logo with ‘2023’ attached. He then went on to discuss details of the potential remaster, stating that it will be released for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. Plus, the remaster will potentially release alongside ‘Episodes From Liberty City’, the paid expansions which included new characters and missions.

Unfortunately though, if the leak is to be believed, the GTA IV remaster won’t be launching with Multiplayer, which was a popular mode when the game was originally released.

Of course, it’s important to take this information with a grain of salt, as it did appear to originate from an unknown source on 4chan before appearing on Ralph’s Twitter. But if you want your fill of GTA remasters, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy Definitive Edition launches on Thursday, November 11th, 2021.
