âœIâm not a risk-taker in my personal lifeâ – Taapsee Pannu

Taapsee Pannu’s latest film, Looop Lapeta has been released on a leading OTT platform and it’s already earning good reviews on social media. Looop Lapeta is based on the 1998 German movie, Run Lola Run and also stars actor Tahir Raj Bhasin in the lead role opposite Taapsee. Directed by Aakash Bhatia, Looop Lapeta tells the story of Satya and Savi who are madly in love. Savi is stuck in an infinite loop and given multiple chances to save Satya who is in trouble with a mob boss. How Savi saves Satya by taking simple yet important decisions forms the base of the story. During the second loop in the movie, Taapsee’s character advises Shreya Dhanwanthary’s character to not give in to her heart and listen to reason instead. She urges Shreya’s character, Julia, to ditch her cabbie boyfriend and settle for the boring corporate employee with a stable job. Would Taapsee have given the same advice to a confused bride in real life?

“See, I listen to whatever Shreya’s character was saying every time, every day. Every time, if you ask Savi, there will be a different answer and if you ask Taapsee, there will be a different answer. If you ask Taapsee, I did not really see or meet Robert (the boring corporate employee) before and the way she describes her and Jacob’s (the romantic cabbie) relationship . . . it was so unpredictable. I am not a person who likes to jump into taking such risky decisions in my personal life. I might be a risk-taker in my professional life but I am not a very good risk-taker in my personal life. Hence, probably Taapsee would have given her the same suggestion,” the actress tells Filmfare in an exclusive interview.

Taking Looop Lapeta and Haseen Dilruba into the picture, is Taapsee’s idea of love very ride or die vala pyaar or is it more emotionally stable?

“Emotionally stable,” says Taapsee promptly.

Looop Lapeta is now streaming on Netflix.
