The Bell & Ross BR 05 Chronograph has made quite a name for itself, even though it just arrived on the scene last year. The watch belongs to the enormously popular BR 05 collection, which draws its fame from its integrated bracelet that combines seamlessly with the case. Already, the prior releases of black and blue dials made sure that the series is firmly here to stay. Now, coming into the collection at the tail end of this year, the BR 05 Chrono White Hawk once again brings the limelight to said collection with a moniker that evokes the majesty and strength of one of the most prominent avian creatures.

Immediately catching the eye is the watch’s silver dial with opaline white finish. Pristine, bright and refreshing, it is given a luxurious satin-finished sheen that catches the light and pairs well with the satin and polished surfaces of the case. After all, it is about ensuring optimal legibility when this dial was created. The neo-retro graphical elements, applied numerals and contrasting details made sure this was achieved.

Nevertheless, this white dial does not lose its functionality at night. With the skeleton hour and minute hands along with the matching baton markers being filled with Super-LumiNova, one will surely be able to read the time even in dimmer conditions.

The watch is powered by the automatic Bell & Ross Calibre BR-CAL.301 with chronograph functionality. As one expects with Bell & Ross, the design language is excellent, and this chronograph holds its own against the other versions, punctuating its charm with all the timing information provided by the chronograph executed in red. This is a highly intuitive yet elegant way of delineating the different time displays in the watch. Via the sapphire case back, one can view the ruthenium coated oscillating weight. The hot Bell & Ross BR 05 Chrono White Hawk comes in at a limited production of only 250 pieces. A metallized illustration of the eponymous hawk is found on the open case back.
