If you’re a fan of sports betting or even a sports fan in general, you would’ve definitely heard of one of the leading sports betting company called Betway. They’ve garnered interest from sports bettors across the world over the years, and apart from providing online sports betting, they’ve been growing their presence in live sporting events including football, cricket, tennis and other sports.
The latest update we’ve got from them is that they’ve decided to grow their sponsorship portfolio, adding another major ATP Tour event to their list of sponsored events. They’ve signed on as sponsor of the ATP Tour 250 tournament taking place in Antwerp, Belgium, which has been around since 2016. We’re talking about the European Open.

The tournament has seen a bunch of big winners over the years since its inception in 2016, including Richard Gasquet in 2016, Jo Wilfried Tsonga in 2017, Kyle Edmund in 2018, Andy Murray in 2019 and Ugo Humbert in 2020. The 2020 The 2020 event took place 19-25 Oct 2020 and the will take place between 18-24 October in 2021. This time, Betway will have exposure at the event.
The Malta-based online gaming brand Betway announced this new partnership yesterday and CEO Anthony Werkman said, “We are delighted to announce a partnership deal with The European Open, Belgium’s only ATP Tour Event. The tournament is still in its infancy but has already had some major names on its roll of honour. We’re looking forward to supporting the competition as it grows into a leading event on the ATP Tour.”
The 6-day tennis event will present Betway several further opportunities for brand recognition and more industry exposure. They signed on as sponsors of Miami Open in March this year, Madrid Open in April this year, while also sponsoring tournaments like the Mercedes Cup in Stuttgart in June 13, and the Noventi Open in Hamburg, also in June.
