Kansas City Chiefs newest member Josh Gordon is already getting high praise from his teammates.
Earlier this week, the Kansas City Chiefs signed recently reinstated wide receiver Josh Gordon, adding him to an already explosive offense. Gordon has always had incredible on-field talent but just couldn’t stay available due to off-field struggles. With Gordon cleaning up his personal life, he is back on the field and his teammates are already seeing the talent that he flashed early in his career.

Josh Gordon flashing talent in Chiefs practice
Being compared to a receiver who was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame a month ago is extremely high praise. Johnson, one of the greatest receivers of all time dominated defenses with his imposing size standing at 6-foot-5 and 240 pounds. Gordon, only slightly smaller at 6-foot-3, 225 pounds, has the stature to physically dominate.
That was always understood with Gordon though. He already demonstrated that he can dominate in this league. He showcased that in his 2013 All-pro season as a member of the Cleveland Browns when he led the league with 1,646 receiving yards.
He displayed it again in 2018 when he caught Tom Brady’s 500th career touchdown pass over two defenders as a member of the New England Patriots.
Gordon’s last season was in 2019, where he played six games with the Patriots and five with the Seattle Seahawks. Gordon finished the season with 27 catches for 426 yards and a touchdown. That level of production is more than enough to add to the Chiefs stacked offense.
