Kansas City Chiefs fans are losing their minds over Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s fumbling issues.

It is still early in the season, but Kansas City Chiefs fans are falling apart at the seams over Clyde Edwards-Helaire’s inability to hold onto the football.

The former first-round pick out of LSU fumbled for the second time this NFL season on Sunday afternoon. This time, it led to an Austin Ekeler touchdown grab for the division rival Los Angeles Chargers. Given how promising the Bolts were entering this season, this latest fumble by Edwards-Helaire could prove costly. Regardless, Chiefs Kingdom is not taking this fumble well.

Ball security is paramount for an NFL running back and Edwards-Helaire has to be better there.

Kansas City Chiefs RB Clyde Edwards-Helaire fumbles the football yet again

While the Chiefs are still an outstanding team, not being able to trust their starting running back to hold onto the football is a growing issue for Kansas City.

I still remember everyone that was irrationally high on Clyde Edwards-Helaire. I remember well.

I have not been impressed by Clyde Edwards-Helaire. Nothing special about him. Too soon to declare him a bust? #ChiefsKingdom

Keep in mind that he was the first running back taken in the 2020 NFL Draft over two-time Doak Walker winner Jonathan Taylor out of Wisconsin.

Just realized the Chiefs picked up Clyde Edwards-Helaire over Jonathan Taylor…just think about that

Clyde Edwards-Helaire is reaching Lin Elliot levels of annoyance for me. #ChiefsKingdom Slow ✅, Poor Vision ✅, Fumbles at critical times✅

Clyde Edwards-Helaire still on the field, getting another carry for Kansas City

With the Denver Broncos and the Las Vegas Raiders playing well this season, the AFC West looks to be way more competitive than many people even realized.

Clyde Edwards-Helaire is the most overrated RB in the NFL. The guy was over drafted and he is NOT an RB1 talent. Sit his ass on the bench. And Steve Spagnuolo needs to lose his job IMMEDIATELY

— Cody Clabough (@Code_E_Clabough) September 26, 2021

The Chiefs really drafted Clyde Edwards-Helaire over Jonathan Taylor and J.K. Dobbins

Release Clyde Edwards Helaire

Until Edwards-Helaire learns to hold onto the ball, this will be an ongoing issue for Kansas City.
