Meet HRE’s new HR tech editor: Veteran tech writer and editor Phil Albinus has joined the Human Resource Executive staff to provide analysis of what new technology can do for CHROs. Forget what you think you know about strategizing for EX: HRE columnist Ben Brooks, founder and CEO of coaching platform PILOT Inc., urges HR leaders to simplify how they think about the employee experience. He recommends putting it in the perspective of this question often asked at dinner tables: “How was your day at work?” “It’s the actual employee experience that an employee will think about when asked that question: workplace engagement, performance—the things that matter,” Brooks said on a recent livestream. Read more.

HR Tech Conference to require COVID vaccines this year: Aimed at ensuring the health and safety of all participants, organizers of the HR Technology Conference & Exposition have announced that COVID-19 vaccinations will be required for entry to next month’s event in Las Vegas. “After assessing the current climate, we’ve determined the best way to help everyone feel more comfortable at HR Tech as well as to provide a further wellness safeguard is to require all HR Tech 2021 participants to show proof of vaccination against COVID-19,” said the conference team. The event takes place from Sept. 28 to Oct. 1 at Mandalay Bay. Read more.

HR Tech Conference 2021-Highlights of the ‘Sneak Peak’ webinar: Return to work; the future of work; diversity, equity and inclusion; and employee wellbeing are just a few of the important topics of HR Tech in 2021, according to a recent “sneak peak” webinar hosted by conference chair Steve Boese. Boese detailed that the Women in HR Tech portion of the conference will feature Rebecca Henderson of Randstad and Emily He of Oracle.
