Green Bay Packers’ WR Randall Cobb said that he stayed at QB Aaron Rodgers house during part of the offseason and that they studied the playbook.
After spending the past two seasons outside of Wisconsin, Green Bay Packers‘ WR Randall Cobb said that he had sleepovers with QB Aaron Rodgers during the offseason. Cobb was drafted by the Packers in 2011 and was there through the 2018-19 season. He spent a year with the Dallas Cowboys and another year with the Houston Texans before making his way back to Lambeau Field this summer.
Rodgers must’ve been a bit too excited to play his old teammate again and re-accustom him to Green Bay’s playbook, though.

Before Cobb’s family moved back to Wisconsin, he stayed at Rodgers’ house for playbook-studying sleepovers.

Can you tell that Aaron was happy to have Randall back in yellow and green? Reuniting with Cobbs was one of the bright spots in an up-and-down offseason for Rodgers.
The playbook wasn’t the only adjustment that Cobbs had to make upon his return.
Randall Cobb says it took “a couple days” for him to adjust to velocity on Aaron Rodgers’ throws when he returned to #Packers. And that’s having played past 2 seasons with Deshaun Watson and Dak Prescott: “The ball just gets up on you a little bit quicker with Aaron.”

With two games under his belt this season, Cobbs has four catches for 58 yards. His biggest season for the Packers came in 2014 whenever he was voted to the Pro Bowl after posting 91 receptions for 1,287 yards and 12 touchdowns.
It seemed as if Green Bay trading for Cobb in the offseason was done to lure Rodgers back and maybe that is what convinced him to return for his 17th season. The three-time MVP’s future is uncertain, but at least he has his friend back.
