Who won the Kentucky Derby?

The moniker ascribed to the Kentucky Derby, the most exciting two minutes in sports, is certainly apt. The annual Run for the Roses at Churchill Downs is fast-paced, frenetic, unpredictable and truly unlike anything else.

Taiba and Epicenter entered the 148th Kentucky Derby in 2022 as the favorites but, one of the reason why many horse racing fans were super excited for this year’s race, was the simple fact that it was anyone’s race — particularly with polarizing trainer Bob Baffert banned. Zandon and Messier were entering the race with short odds in their own rights, just behind the favorites.

Of course, everyone is always looking for the longshot at Churchill Downs and they were in the mix too with Rich Strike, Tawny Port and Classic Causeway all looking to cash bettors big tickets on the day.

But when the clock struck 6:57 p.m. ET in Kentucky, it was time to race. So who came out victorious? We have the winner who got crowned front and center.
